However, admission into Undergraduate Courses in Delhi University is done in 2 ways which are described below:

1. Based on Entrance Test (only for BFIA, BMS, BBE)
2. Based on Merit List (By Applying Online)

DU UG Admission 2018-19 (Entrance Test Based)

The Delhi University Entrance Test (2018) Every year, Delhi University conducts entrance test for admission of candidates for the courses of BMS, BBE and BFIA. Only one entrance is conducted for these three exams and based on the rankings of the candidate, the desired course can be opted.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the entrance exam conducted by Delhi University are described below:

1.     Candidates must have a minimum educational qualification of XII class with an aggregate of more than 60% marks in a total of four subjects (including Mathematics and English)

2.     Only candidates who had Mathematics and English subjects in Class XII are eligible to apply for entrance exams.

3.     Also, minimum percentage of marks required by OBC candidate is 54%.

4.     Also, minimum percentage of marks required by OBC candidate is 33%.

Selection Procedure for Entrance Exams

1. Candidates have to appear for the entrance exam on the announced date.
2. Based on the marks score in the entrance exam, and the marks scored in class XII, a final merit list of the candidates will be prepared.
3. 65% weightage is given to the result of entrance exam and 35% weightage to XII result.
4. On the basis of the final merit list prepared, selection shall be done.

    Delhi University Merit List Admissions (2018) Every year, Delhi University releases around 5 cut-off lists for admission of candidates for the undergraduate courses. Students have to fill an online application form in the month of May for admission in such courses.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the admission in various Delhi University courses are described below:

1.     Candidates must have a minimum educational qualification of XII class with an aggregate of more than 40% marks in a total of four subjects (including English)

2.     For admissions to various courses such as B.Com (h), statistics, Economics (h) etc it if important to include mathematics in best of four subjects.

3.     Also, the minimum requirements for minority caste candidates vary every year.

Delhi University UG Online Application Form 2018-19

1. Candidates have to apply through the official website of Delhi University- www.ug.du.ac.in/app/.
2. A new user have to visit “New Applicant Sign Up” in order to create account.
3. All the required information or fields shall be filled correctly by the user.
4. The applicant themselves have to create a password of about 8 characters for their account.
5. After the registration is complete, the applicant have to go to the home page by clicking on “Continue to homepage”.
6. Now, the candidate has to login using the same id and password provided by him in the above steps.
7. After that the candidate has to click on ‘Apply Now’.
8. The candidate now has to fill all the mandatory information carefully (personal information, XII board roll number etc.)
9. In the sixth stage, applicant needs to provide the Bank Details for the refund of fee in case of cancellation of admission.
10. In seventh stage, the candidate has to provide these documents- scanned photograph, scanned signature, passport size photograph, Self-attested Class XII Mark-Sheet if available, Self-attested copies of Sports/ECA certificates if available.
11. After providing the information, in the ninth stage, the candidate has to make payment for the online registration to be completed.

5. Two passport size photographs.
